BIO: Donny is an award-winning lighting designer based in Los Angeles. Career highlights include  the New York premiere of Four Clowns (La MaMa), the workshop production of God Looked Away, starring Al Pacino and Judith Light (Macha Theatre), Arrival & Departure (Fountain Theatre), for which he received the Broadway World Best Lighting award 2018, and Transition (Lounge Theatre) for which he received the NAACP Award for Best Lighting 2019. Recent productions include  In the Heights (La Mirada Theatre), If  I Forget, directed by Jason Alexander (Fountain Theatre), The Christians (Actors Co-op), The Chosen (Fountain Theatre), Driving Miss Daisy, starring Donna Mills (Colony Theatre), Into the Woods, as featured during ABC’s reality TV event, “Encore!”, and the KJAZZ Fall Benefit Concert (Wallis Annenberg). Other work includes Happy Birthday, Doug (Celebration Theatre), The Archer from Malis (Getty Villa), A Doll's House part 2 (ICT Long Beach) Hair (Long Beach Playhouse), and Phenomenal, written & directed by Macy Gray (Ramon Cortines Performing Arts). He has been with Cypress College since 2014 and holds an MFA in Lighting Design from UCLA, where he trained under Tony-winning designer Neil Jampolis. www.DonnyJackson.com
