Be prepared with 16 bars of a Rock song (an accompanist

will be provided) and be dressed to move.

Performance Dates: Mar 11, 12, 13, 17. 18, 19

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Jan 18th. 

If cast you will be required to register as a student at

Cypress College and enroll in a Musical Theatre Rehearsal/Performance class as well as sign up to work on crew for a separate production.


PLEASE NOTE: ALL students must upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the school's website in order to participate in the production and register for classes. 

Regarding the nude scene: Hair contains a brief moment of full nudity at the end of Act 1, that is meant as a celebration of freedom. Actor participation in this moment is voluntary, and not required for any role.

Set in 1968 New York, HAIR is Broadway's first Rock musical. It tells the story of "tribe" of young hippies who bond during the free-love revolution. But their love-filled way of life is thrown into disarray when Claude is drafted into the Vietnam War.
